A Letter from our President
Dear Customer:
When my grandfather, Fred Steward Sr., founded Steward Steel, he saw a need for supplying quality steel building materials for the innovations in construction and architecture of the 1950’s building boom. Now, seven decades and three generations later, I am proud to carry on our tradition of providing our consumers with superior steel fabrication and an unyielding commitment to excellent customer satisfaction.
Today, we are a state-of-the-art steel fabrication facility serving customers across the country. Although we have grown extensively over the years, we have never forgotten our core values:
- An excellent customer experience starts with honest and transparent communication.
- Planning and attention to detail are at the heart of any successful project.
- Robust experience and flexibility are required to deliver the right product with the right fit at the right time.
Hiring highly-skilled, motivated people who receive extensive training and retaining the best in-house talent for the long haul is the best way of guaranteeing that we will always have the staff to perform for you.
On behalf of our family and our team, I invite you to see for yourself the Steward Steel advantage. Please reach out to us via phone (573) 471-2121 or email info@stewardsteel.com. We look forward to partnering with you!
Sincerely,

"I am pleased to recommend Steward Steel, Inc. We have been working with Steward Steel for more than ten years as a fabricator and erector on several significant projects. These projects include office buildings, a new high school as well as a multi-story medical facility. Our experience with Steward Steel has been excellent and we truly appreciate their ability to complete the work on time and at a very competitive price. Their service from submittals and shop drawings all the way through delivery and erection process is superior to their competitors. Once again, our team at K&S Associates, Inc. whole heartedly recommend Steward Steel as a top notch steel fabricator and erector."

Superior Fit and Finish
We are committed to bringing an industry-leading quality to every facet of the fabrication process. As an American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) certified shop, you can rest assured that your steel will be fabricated correctly and fit together at the job site. The integrity of each piece is our hallmark. We have four American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI’s) on staff, and all of our welders are AWS certified. By following our stringent QC Program and AISC guidelines, we will make sure your order not only meets but exceeds your expectations.
Steward Steel’s effort to go above and beyond specification requirements is our assurance to you that you get an excellent product that meets and often exceeds project requirements:
- The length of every main member is checked for accuracy when it exits the saw and beam line.
- All detail pieces are checked after fabrication and before assembly and again when fitted to the main member.
- We check all welds, and test full-pen welds in-house -- even when specifications do not require it.
- Every member is shot blasted to ensure the highest degree of coating adherence. The coating thickness is checked to assure it is within project tolerance.
- All galvanized members are checked after they return from the galvanizer before they are sent to the job site.
Steward Steel performs all these tests and checks to assure when the material gets to the site, your project team will be checking out how fast the steel goes up and will agree, Steward Steel fits!
Scalability to Meet Your Needs
From sub-fabricating work on columns with 80 hours of welding to 800,000 plus square feet data center and warehouse projects, we can scale our production to meet the needs of your project. Our 200,000 square-foot covered production space allows us to handle a wide range of projects. We also have over 25 acres of storage space for warehousing incoming and outgoing steel. We have many outdoor and indoor cranes along with a fleet of forklifts and several other means of material handling so we can handle just about anything.
Fast-Track Delivery
Fast-track projects are now so common that they have become standard in the structural steel industry. We understand that speed of delivery must not come at the expense of quality. We have designed our fabrication process to meet tough schedules, and through our constant communication with you, the customer, our ability to recognize and mitigate obstacles that may delay your project is second to none.
Diverse Industry Knowledge
Our team members’ diverse backgrounds go beyond fabrication. Our staff includes experienced professionals who have worked for construction, aluminum smelting and engineering firms to veterans with over 40 years in the steel fabrication industry. This comprehensive knowledge of the Steward Steel Team provides firsthand knowledge of our customers’ businesses and challenges they face. It also allows us to deliver support and planning beyond the production of your order.
